Start Simple--View One Bar Magnet's Poles (magnet not included)

The strongest areas of a magnet are called its poles! 'View' them with these iron filings--just supply the magnet and a piece of paper. Place the paper on top of the magnet. Using the jar's shaker top, sprinkle filings onto the paper. Tap the paper to distribute the filings. 'See' the magnetic field?

Sculpt a Pile of Filings on Top of Your Magnet (magnet not included)

Pour some filings into a bowl. Dip your magnet (not included) in the filings. Then set the magnet down on a table. Push the filings around with your fingers (safe to touch) to make an interesting sculpture. Stack multiple magnets (with sculpted filings on them) to make a modern art statue!

Make Unique Patterns Using Multiple Magnets (magnets not included)
